Abstract

As the development of computer communication and multimedia data process technology have made remarkable progress, various researches about multimedia application service have been studied. In this paper, I designed and implemented a multimedia conference system, which can held a conference on LAN, sharing multimedia data with multiple participants in real time. Performing centralized conference control by server, it can sustain the consistency of conference information, and provide an effective floor control, data distribution and conference control functions. Designing conference server to multicast the multimedia data, I could implement the very effective multimedia conference system, which can save the restricted network bandwidth, transmitting multimedia data in real time.
