Abstract

The domestic AIN has been developed on the basis of ITU-T IN CS-1 recommendations, and Korea Telecom is planing to commercialize UPT and VOT services on it from the beginning of 1999. In our country, a couple of communication company are emerging to provide various communication services and highly contending with another to satisfy customers demand. Since the government intends to increase the competition among the communication providers, all communication provides have got to solve the problem of Number Portability as soon as possible. In this paper, we describe the scheme for implementing Number Portability using our developing AIN system. We propose the efficient and actually adaptable Number Portability scenario for each provider.
