Abstract

In electronic commerce systems, for the purchase of package goods to be processed in realtime, the stock of their components has to be enough. When many purchasers access the electronic commerce systems and buy the package goods, the efficient concurrency control mechanism is required for improving the performance of the systems. In this paper, we propose a mechanism that processes the order of package products in realtime and improves the processing rate of transactions for buying ready-made package products and custom-made package products. The mechanism maintains the actual and saleable quantity for each component of a package good. The proposed mechanism is based on a new efficient concurrency control algorithm based on locking.
